Your request
We clarify the task, the people involved and the desired outcome.
Maintain technical health and provide agreed support after launch.
Begin with a condition review
When taking over a website or system, we establish how it was built, where it runs and which services it depends on. Access, updates and backups are reviewed. Missing information is collected with your team or the previous supplier before responsibilities are agreed.
Define what maintenance includes
The plan can cover updates, monitoring, backups and small changes. Major features and rebuilding work are assessed separately. We agree where requests are recorded, how urgency is determined and who approves changes within your business.
Work that can be included
Maintain software and security updates
Diagnose faults, review backups and performance
Handle content changes and agreed support tasks
Check changes before relying on them
Updates can affect forms, payments and other important functions. We establish testing and rollback arrangements appropriate to the system. Regular reviews cover completed work and outstanding issues. Service hours and response terms are set out in the proposal.
Taking over another supplier’s work
We can assess an existing solution. Whether it can be supported depends on its technology, available access and documentation.
Frequently asked questions about maintenance
What does website maintenance include?
Software and security updates, backups and their verification, availability monitoring, fault diagnostics, performance review and content changes within an agreed number of hours. The exact list is fixed in the maintenance agreement.
Do you take over websites built by others?
Yes. We start with a condition review: versions, plugins, security, backups, speed. We provide a list of issues found and only then agree on the maintenance scope, so there are no surprises.
How quickly do you respond to a fault?
Response times are agreed in the plan: shortest for critical incidents (site down, orders failing), and queued on business days for small changes. Monitoring often reports an incident before the client notices it.
What if an update breaks the website?
We back up before updates and test larger changes in a staging environment first. If something goes wrong, we roll back to the previous version and fix the problem without interrupting the website.
Is maintenance necessary for a small website?
Even a simple website runs software that needs security updates and backups. A small site needs only a basic plan with updates and monitoring; the scope can grow with your needs.
